We milled up a huge chunky hand hewn beam from a barn in the midwest, glued it up with biscuits, and did a nice matte wax finish to make this lovely passthrough.

Hotel Petaluma got a huge Douglas Fir slab, originally a piling in the water at Mare Island, which we then charred to a crisp and finished in a satin polyurethane to act as a charging station and seating area in their lobby.
