350.org
www.350.org
350.org is an international campaign dedicated to building a movement to unite the world around solutions to the climate crisis.
350.org mission is to inspire the world to rise to the challenge of the climate crisis—to create a new sense of urgency and of possibility for our planet.
Our focus is on the number 350--as in parts per million, the level scientists have identified as the safe upper limit for CO2 in our atmosphere. But 350 is more than a number--it's a symbol of where we need to head as a planet.
In 2009, Heritage Salvage participated in the greening of Petaluma City Hall on 350.org day. HS provided recycled wood and building materials for the community garden beds that volunteers helped install and plant.

Spirit Of Windfall Project
HS helped conserve the remains of a 370 year old 165 foot tall 9 foot diameter redwood. HS helped mill the tree into 1x12s and slabs, the kids joined in and were taught to stack, sticker, and air dry the wood. 85% of the proceeds from the sale of the wood went to supporting Salmon Creek’s environmental education programs.
Bug has also helped develop and market the sustainable forestry curriculum for Salmon Creek middle school, including making the program a solar kiln. He has played a critical role in helping to develop a model for sustainable forestry on the campus.
